Dr Xavier Fresquet is Head of the Sorbonne Centre for Artificial Intelligence at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. In addition to supporting the development of AI infrastructure in Abu Dhabi, he is a researcher in Digital Humanities, with work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, musicology and iconography. His research applies deep learning and neural networks to analyse visual narratives and reconstruct historical music, notably through the ANR MELODY project
